A Woman Dies After Refusing Treatment.

In the UK, a woman aged 50 had died 15 days after refusing to receive medical treatment. The woman whose name was given simply given as "C" had attempted suicide by drug over dosage. The drugs had damaged her kidneys so that she required dialysis. But she refused any form of treatment being administered to her. Her reason was that she had lost her youthfulness and beauty and did not want to experience old age. The case was taken to court by a daughter of hers and the court ruled in her favour and ordered that no treatment be given to her and that her identity be kept anonymous even after death. Before her attempted suicide, "C" had lost a long term relationship, got hooked to drugs and ran into huge debts.

UK LAUNCHES AIR STRIKES ON ISIS

After much deliberations, the UK prime minister David Cameron has voted for an AIRSTRIKES on the Islamic State in Syria. The air strikes began today with the UK launching bombs into the Omar oil field, a part of Syria controlled by IS. Four Tornadoes were lunched from Cyprus. The prime minister thinks that this is the beginning of long battle.

Oscar Pistorius verdict has been changed to murder

The earlier verdict on Oscar Pistorius case which was manslaughter has been changed to murder. The South African appalate court upturned the verdict and has now convicted him for murder. Oscar Pistorius had killed his girlfriend Reeva SteenKamp in February 2013. The Olympic blade athlete had shot Reeve 4 times from behind a closed door. Pistorius maintains that he mistook Reeva for an intruder. Pistorius has already spent one year in jail for manslaughter. He will have to reappear in court to be re-sentenced for murder. The minimum jail term for murder in South Africa is 15 years. This is most likely to be the end of the athletes career. For the moment Pistorius is under house arrest.

Another Mass Shooting In The US.

There has been another mass shooting at San Bernardino area California USA. The shooting involved a couple who attacked their colleagues who were having a get-together. They had killed about 13 people before the police shot them. The couple were identified as Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27. The victims were yet to be identified and the reason for the attack was yet to established as at the time of this report.
